Rental Terms & Conditions

1. General Information to Clients

  1. Baby Carriers Rental SG (BCRSG) carries only authentic products for babywearing education, rental and sales.
  2. All fees outlined are in Singapore Dollar (SGD) currency. 
  3. Once payment has been processed, it is deemed that you have agreed to all the terms and conditions stated below.
  4. BCRSG will not rent or sell any brand of product that has not been  through safety testing or approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
  5. All rental products have been properly checked, washed and sanitised before and after each rent for safety and cleanliness.

2. Rental Process

    1. Product(s) Reservation & Payment

    1. All valid reservations and payments to BCRSG are to be done via our official website: https://babycarriersrentalsg.com/ with a first pay, first serve basis.
    2. Rental reservation payment options available on our website as follows:
      • Credit or Debit Card
      • GrabPay
      • PayNow to UEN (preferred option)
      • Traditional Bank Transfer
    3. Any tips included in the rental payment shall be non-refundable at all times. 
    4. If you have questions or require additional assistance prior to reservation payment, contact us via WhatsApp at +65 9338 4306 OR use the <Need Help?> chatbox on our website.
    Note: Kindly leave us your contact number (with country code) along with your message, should you prefer us returning your chatbox messages via WhatsApp. 
    If you fail to hear from us within 72 hours OR if you have urgent rental requests, nudge us via social media platforms (i.e Facebook or Instagram) to connect with us ASAP.

    2. Rental Commencement 

    Rental commencement (Day 1) begins at 00:01 hour Singapore Time (SGT) on the Client’s rental start date.

    3. Fees 

    BCRSG charges based on a minimum rental period of 5 (five) days. This is displayed on every product’s reservation calendar accordingly.

    On the logistical front, if your actual rental duration is shorter than a 5-day period, please notify our admin staff at +65 9338 4306 through WhatsApp to arrange for product(s) collection and return on the actual intended dates.

    4. Additional fees 

    Additional fees shall apply in the following scenarios:

    1. Rental of Products in Brand New Condition 

    $1 per day

    • Request is subject to BCRSG’s stock availability. 
    • If all rental products are fully booked and a brand new piece is required to fulfil your request, this additional fee similarly applies.
    2. Short Notice

    For reservations requiring fulfilment within 12 hours from payment time

    For reservations requiring fulfilment after 12 hours but within 24 hours from payment time

    3. Pre-Rental Product Tryout

    $5 per product

    • Limited to 10 minutes duration per product
    • Waived upon receipt of Client’s rental payment for product that has been tried out

    Note: Waiver only applies for rental payment value of $50 and above (excluding security deposit and courier fees, if any).

    4. Rental Extension

    As per product daily rate

    Request is possible only if there are no reservations by another client in the queue. 

    5. Credit / Debit Card Payment Gateway Transaction Fee

    3.6% 

    + $0.50

    • Applies to all credit / debit card payments 
    • Deduction will be made from the security deposit (refer to clause 3.3 below)

     6. Logistics 

    No additional cost for self-collect and return at 122C Sengkang East Way

     3. Security Deposit

    1. There is a refundable security deposit per rental piece as shown in the table below:

    2. Security deposit shall be paid together with the rental product fee at all times. 
    3. For all credit/debit card payees, a website payment gateway transaction fee of 3.6% + $0.50 based on the Client’s full payment amount shall apply. It will be deducted from the paid security deposit before refund. 
    4. Process of Security Deposit Refund:

      1. BCRSG’s finance team processes refunds by batch. 
      2. The refund process will take up to 14 business days to be completed, from the date of product return. 
      3. Business days are defined as BCRSG’s operational days. Please Google <Baby Carriers Rental SG> for reference. 
      4. Full refund (minus credit/debit card transaction fee, if any) will be duly processed after the rental product has been safely returned and inspected by BCRSG to have suffered no damages during the Client’s rental period. 
      5. Integrity of the product will be inspected within 72 hours upon return. For products returned by courier, 72 hours start from the point of product return from courier back to BCRSG. 
      6. The refund shall be processed based on the Client's original payment method. For example, if the Client used PayNow or Bank Transfer for payment, the deposit will also be refunded via PayNow, Bank Transfer or GIRO via our BCRSG corporate account. 
    5. Forfeiture of Security Deposit

    Forfeiture of the Client’s refundable security deposit, whether in part or full, shall apply under the following conditions: 
    .
    5.1 Product Damage
    Any product damage sustained by the Client within the rental period must be reported to BCRSG admin staff immediately so as not to jeopardise the next client in queue.
    1. Partial forfeit if rented product returned by Client was presented with:
        • obvious crack/ peeling
        • huge scratch
        • discolouration
        • permanent stain
        • missing part
        • spoilt part
    2. Full forfeit if rented product returned by Client has:
        • spoilt buckle or stitch which put product safety at risk for the next user
        • damaged wheels, joints or parts compromising the overall product function and which cannot be readily replaced
        • met into trauma (such as car seats that encountered accidents)
        • been lost, whether partially or fully  
    3. Goodwill refund of the full security deposit may be extended to Clients for instances with minor scratches on product(s), but this shall be dealt with purely on a case by case basis.

    5.2 Late Return

    Amount forfeited is calculated based on the product’s rental daily rate + $1/day.

    5.3 Late Change Request on Delivery Mode 

    If Client’s change request of delivery mode comes after rental payment has already been processed, the amount forfeited will be in accordance to BCRSG’s standard courier fees (refer to clauses 4.6.2 and 5.3.2).

    5.4 Compensation for next Client’s Rental Loss

    If there is a need to compensate for the next Client’s rental loss, the amount of forfeit on your security deposit shall be determined at the sole discretion of BCRSG.

    The need for compensation arises if you have failed to return the product(s) in a timely manner, and/or rentable condition due to product damage stated in clause 3.5.1 (Product Damage).

    4. Product Collection by Client

    1. Clients are to choose between self-collection or courier delivery. 
    2. If you, the Client, have failed to collect the product on Day 1 in accordance with your paid reservation period, rental is still considered to have commenced
    3. BCRSG shall review your reasons for collection failure on a case by case basis, only if it does not result in the rental loss of the next client in queue.
    4. If your actual rental duration is shorter than a 5-day period, you shall undertake responsibility in notifying BCRSG at least 24 (twenty-four) hours before rental commencement regarding your actual intended rental start and end dates. BCRSG will not be held responsible for fulfilment delays as a result of your failure to do so.  
    5. Self-Collection (skip this and go to clause 4.6 if you are opting for courier delivery)

      1. Venues 
        1. The Client may self-collect the product at 122C Sengkang East Way (walking distance from Bakau LRT station) at no delivery cost.
        2. Alternative self-collect venues available below with a $5 meetup surcharge
            • Outram (certain day and time only) 
            • Clementi (certain day and time only from May 2024 onwards)
            • Parkway Parade (Saturday 4-5.30pm only)
            • Marina Bay Sands area (11.15am or 1.45pm only)

        Note: While we strive to accede to most requests, BCRSG reserves the right to decline the meetup based on our schedule availability.

      2. BCRSG’s Responsibilities 
        1. Proper product usage will be taught during product collection only if our educator is physically present (limited to 10 minutes).
        2. Otherwise, you may request for and refer to a video demonstration from us.
        3. Abiding by clauses 1.4 and 1.5, it is our responsibility to alert you on any existing negligible product flaws, parts or minor functions that have fallen short of pristine condition, before the product fulfilment is complete
        4. BCRSG will communicate the above either face to face or through photo/video formats. 
      3. Client’s Responsibilities
        1. Once you have duly inspected that the product is fit for rental commencement at collection, it is deemed that you have accepted the product in its existing functionality and condition for your entire rental period.
        2. You agree that BCRSG will be indemnified against any malfunctions, defects or missing parts found by the Client after the product fulfilment has been completed.
    6. Courier Delivery Collection

      1. Courier delivery collection is possible if the Client so chooses, or if the Client is unable to find a suitable day and time for self-collection.
      2. Delivery Fees: 
          • This is to be borne by the Client using BCRSG’s courier fulfilment vendor at $15/trip islandwide for a single product and $25/trip islandwide for multiple products.
      3. BCRSG’s Responsibilities 
        1. Proper product usage will NOT be taught in person by our educator. However, you may request for and refer to a video demonstration from us.
        2. Abiding by clauses 1.4 and 1.5, it is our responsibility to alert you, the Client, of any existing negligible product flaws, parts or minor functions that have fallen short of pristine condition before the product fulfilment is complete
        3. BCRSG will communicate the above through photo/video formats.
      4. Client’s Responsibilities 
        1. Upon receipt of the product from our courier fulfilment vendor, it is the Client’s responsibility to inspect it for quality that may have fallen short of your expectations. 
        2. BCRSG must be alerted of the above within 6 (six) hours of product receipt. Otherwise, you, the Client, agree to indemnify us against any malfunctions, defects or missing parts found once the product has been handed over to you.
        3. For any required change in delivery timings, you must provide at least 2 (two) hours of advanced notification to guarantee a smooth collection process. You agree to discharge BCRSG of any failure or delay in the product fulfilment as a result of not providing at least 2 (two) hours of advanced notification. 
        4. In the event of a failed courier handover (e.g. you or your family members are not present to receive the product at the agreed time frame), you agree to bear the full cost of the failed delivery trip and the cost of courier rescheduling. Fees apply in accordance with clause 4.6.2 (Delivery Fees).
        5. If you have chosen to engage your own courier fulfilment vendor and not BCRSG’s courier fulfilment vendor, you agree in accordance to clause 3.5 (Forfeiture of Security Deposit) to be fully responsible for: 
          1. Any costs related to product damage or loss as a result of product mishandling during the courier transition process.
          2. The timeliness of your courier representative in collecting the product from us. 

    5. Product Return by Client

    1. Clients are to choose between self-return or courier delivery.
    2. Self-Return (skip this and go to clause 5.3 if you are opting for courier delivery)

      1. Venues 
        1. The Client may self-return the product to 122C Sengkang East Way (walking distance from Bakau LRT station) at no cost.

      2. BCRSG’s Responsibilities

        Upon product return, we are responsible for inspecting its condition within 72 hours and notify you, the Client, if there are any product damages found pursuant to clause 3.5.1 (Product Damage).

      3. Client’s Responsibilities

        1. Kindly check for our presence before returning the product.
        2. All products shall be returned by hand, through yourself or one of your family members, ensuring to quote Client’s full name in the order for traceability purposes
        3. You shall notify us 1 (one) day before your rental last day regarding your readiness to return the product on time.
        4. If we do not receive such notifications by the last day of your rental period, we shall deem it as a late return situation. Fees shall apply pursuant to clauses 3.5.2 (Late Return) and 3.5.4 (Compensation for next Client’s Rental Loss). 
        5. BCRSG is not responsible for sending return reminders to our Clients.  
        6. You shall keep BCRSG well-informed of severe hygiene incidents during your rental usage period, such as severe stains caused by vomit, food and/or bowel stains. 
          1. You shall be liable for the cleanup that must take place before the product is returned.
          2. Otherwise, you shall bear the cost of sending the returned product for professional cleaning after product return and compensate the next client’s rental loss (clause 3.5.4), if any.
        7. You shall be responsible in informing BCRSG in a timely manner if the product has met with any accident or trauma during the course of your rental usage. 

            • Note: Products that have experienced trauma will be rendered invalid for future use due to safety considerations.
    3. Return Courier Delivery

      1. Courier delivery to facilitate product return is possible if the Client so chooses, or if the Client is unable to find a suitable day and time for self-return.
      2. Delivery Fees 
          • This is to be borne by the Client using BCRSG’s courier fulfilment vendor at $15/trip for a single product and $25/trip for multiple products
        1. BCRSG’s Responsibilities
          • Upon product return, we are responsible for inspecting its condition within 72 hours and notify you, the Client, if there are any product damages found pursuant to clause 3.5.1.
          1. Client’s Responsibilities

            4. BCRSG is not responsible for sending return reminders to our Clients.  
            5. You shall keep BCRSG well-informed of severe hygiene incidents during your rental usage period, such as severe stains caused by vomit, food and/or bowel stains. 
              1. You shall be liable for the cleanup that must take place before the product is returned.
              2. Otherwise, you shall bear the cost of sending the returned product for professional cleaning after product return and compensate the next client’s rental loss (clause 3.5.4), if any.

            7. If you have chosen to engage your own courier fulfilment vendor and not BCRSG’s courier fulfilment vendor, you agree in accordance to clause 3.5 (Forfeiture of Security Deposit) to be fully responsible for: 
              1. Any costs related to product damage or loss as a result of product mishandling during the courier transition process.
              2. The timeliness of your courier representative in returning the product to us. 
            8. If you have chosen to return via other delivery methods such as Smartpac, Qdelivery or Ninja Pack, you agree in accordance to clause 3.5 (Forfeiture of Security Deposit) to be fully responsible in ensuring the product reaches BCRSG by your last rental day and in good condition. Such delivery methods normally require a 2-day delivery time frame to reach the recipient.

        6. Product Exchange / Rental Postponement 

        Such requests made by the Client shall be processed as follows:

        1. Before Rental Commencement 

          1. Approval of product exchange shall be subject to BCRSG’s stock availability and only allowed once per booking.
          2. Approval of rental postponement shall be allowed only once per booking, and the newly rebooked rental start date has to fall within a maximum of 6 (six) months from the original rental start date, subject to BCRSG’s rental slot availability.
          3. Please remain contactable. If BCRSG is unable to reach you, the Client, through emails, WhatsApp and/or phone calls up to a total of 5 (five) attempts to facilitate your request, your rental payment shall be fully forfeited. 
            • In the above case of rental payment forfeiture, the security deposit shall be refunded within 7 (seven) business days from the day of our final contact attempt with you.
            • For credit/debit card paying clients, the cost of your card payment gateway transaction shall be deducted from your paid security deposit before refund (refer to clause 3.3).
          4. Fees Payable for Approved Cases

          Note: “Singapore MOE school holiday” refers to school holiday dates stated on the Singapore’s Ministry of Education website.

        2. After Rental Commencement 

        Strictly no approval shall be given after rental has commenced. Full rental payment will be forfeited and your paid security deposit shall be refunded to you within 7 (seven) business days from your booking’s last rental day.
         
        For credit/debit card paying clients, the cost of your card payment gateway transaction shall be deducted from your paid security deposit before refund (refer to clause 3.3).

        7. Cancellation Requests 

        1. There is a strict no cancellation and no rental payment refund rule.
        2. The Client can, however, request for product exchange or rental postponement according to Clause 6 (Product Exchange / Rental Postponement).

         

        Baby Carriers Rental SG reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
